Volvo Penta rebuilt resealed Dp-E 1.68 Gear Ratio Chafing on pinion Gear Dp-D1 Dp-C1

Up for sale is a nice resealed Volvo Penta Dp-E outdrive sterndrive 1.68 Gear ratio Drive Part Number 3868728 upper 3857143 Completely  Inspected , Pressure tested , Laser Straight prop shaft. This unit  is smooth shifting , This have been totally gone thru inspected , New seals , Shift Shoe seal , Prop Shaft Seals . Bearings , races perfect , GEAR SET "See Disclosure and history "  !  Operationally excellent , This will bolt up and replace Dp-C C1 Dp-D D1 Dp-E and upgrade Sp-C Sp-D Sp-E. Rare 1.68 gear ratio , for 8.1 8.2 big block and large Diesel engines 300 hp 44 series , KAMD44 EDC KAD 44. Entire unit was cleaned ,  Zinc Chromate primed  , and painted with  Volvo Penta Marine Paint. Bolt it on get back in the water ! 

Full Disclosure  : The pinion gear on the unit has chafes on every tooth . SEE pictures .

HISTORY  in 2019 a customer brought me this drive with a damaged Upper Gear unit A rebuilt upper was installed ,  debris from the upper had caused the imperfections in the lower gear set  with  none  available at the time ,   we had to re-use the 1.68 gear set ...fast forward 4 years the customer is converting the vessel to outboards.  Motors and drives pulled and the gear set looks like the day we put it back together in 2019 with no noticeable additional wear ,  no metal in the oil. The gear set should continue to operate without issue , outdrive Comes with the same  full 1 year warranty , pro rated, but offered at a significant discount over more perfect units . Bolt it on get back on the water~~!!
